Drop by the Community Room on Friday, October 6th between 4-5pm to paint a coffin while supplies last! Open to teens in grades 6-12 (ages 11-18). No registration needed.


The theme for this cooking series is: Cozy Fall Cooking! Brittany will walk us through how to prepare delicious and healthy dishes! Classes will be held virtually each week at 4:30-5:30pm on Thursdays from October 5th to October 26th so you’ll be able to join us from your own kitchen. Each week has its own registration, you can sign up for one, a couple, or all of them.

This program is open to Grades 4-8 (ages 10-14). Registration is required as space is limited.

Come to the Library after hours to play video games! One Up Games will provide a variety of consoles and games – including VR headsets!

Open to tweens & teens in grades 5-12 (ages 11-18). Registration in advance is appreciated. Participants can also register at the door, so if you didn’t sign up but still want to drop in, that’s ok too!

Tweens, teens, and their family members can come to the library to make their own moonlit mummy lantern just in time for Halloween! Tweens and Teens (ages 9-18) can sign up with their parents, grandparents, or older siblings… or even just their friends!

Registration is required for each participant (please only sign up for one time slot), space is limited!
**Anyone over the age of 18 must be accompanied by a tween or teen**

Spooky season is here! Log your reading throughout the month of October to earn badges on Beanstack. There are separate challenges for children, teens, and adults. Check the descriptions on each challenge to find out details!

Tweens & Teens in grades 5-12 can sign up for Random Reads! This monthly book subscription bag will include a handpicked library book (to read and return), a snack, an activity, and a gift (that is yours to keep)!

An active library account/card is required to register.

A New Chapter Book Club

A New Chapter Book Club is perfect for readers who are ready to move up from our LPL Book Club for 3rd – 5th Graders (or maybe who are just starting to look for books in the Teen Room) and will feature a mix of Middle Grade and Young Adult titles from a variety of genres. Each month readers will meet with Teen Librarian Susan to discuss that month’s pick, so make sure you read the book before book club meets if you can! Snacks will be provided.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 11th, from 4:00-5:00pm. At this meeting we’ll be discussing The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud.. We’ll also pass out books for November.

This club is open to tweens & teens in grades 5-8. Please sign up ahead of time so that we can make sure to have enough snacks for everyone!

(Not So) Young Adult Book Club

The (Not So) Young Adult Book Club is for those adults, who love reading young adult books (you know who you are!). But, teens are totally welcome to join us too! This is a hybrid book club so you can join us virtually over Zoom if you can’t make it to the library to meet in person!

The next meeting will take place on Sunday, October 15th, from 11:00am-12:00pm. We will be discussing Jackaby by William Ritter. Copies are available to check-out at the library. If you are interested in young adult books and participating in this book club, please come to the first meeting even if you have not read the book!

Registration is required if you plan on participating virtually to receive the Zoom meeting information.
You are more than welcome to come to the book club even if you did not sign up in advance! *Please note that the main library will not be open during the book club meeting*
