Book in a Bag Kit for Grades 1 – 2

LPL has a first time book club experience for beginning chapter book readers! The format for this club is a bit different – no monthly gatherings, just reading and writing a simple review.
At the beginning of each month, 12 kids can stop by to pick up their book bag. In the book bag, which is yours to keep, you will find a Library copy of this month’s book which will need to be returned, a treat, coloring pages, a puzzle to solve, a book review form to fill out and return and a surprise item!
Read the book, write your review and drop it off here at the Library when you return your book. Registration is necessary each month for this event, so sign up early for one of the 12 bags!

New Book Club
for Tweens & Teens grades 5-7 (ages 10-13)
‘First Bites’ is a book club where you don’t have to read
a book ahead of time to participate!
Snacks will be provided.
We will be meeting Wednesday, April 26th, in the Teen Room
Join Miss Debbie and Teen Librarian Susan as they read the first chapter of a book that they have picked out out loud! Then everyone can discuss their first impressions of the book and what they think the book is about. If anyone is interested in reading the rest, the library will have plenty of copies on hand that can be checked out afterwards so make sure to bring
your library card with you! Each month will focus on a different book.
Please sign up ahead of time so that we can make sure to have enough snacks for everyone! You are more than welcome to come to book club even if you did not sign up in advance
as long as we still have space available! Sign up HERE
