Greetings all,

I hope this finds you well!  I am happy to advertise the availability, starting Monday, June 15th, of curbside pickup at the Lunenburg Public Library.  There is still no entry to the Library at this time, but the staff is happy to be back in the building and offering you the chance to pick up library materials.

A few things to keep in mind:

-- Place your holds through the library catalog found at our website or at and, if you do not have access to the web at home, by calling the Library at 978-582-4140.  If you call, please have your library card number ready.

-- Our Library of Things items, like our telescope, ukuleles, and volleyball set, are not available to be borrowed at this time.

-- We will package materials for pick up according to health guidelines, and they will be already checked out to your account when you arrive to pick them up.

-- When the items are ready, a staff member will contact you to schedule a time for you to pick up the materials.

-- When arriving to pick up materials, please call the Library 978-582-4140 so that we can bring them out to you.

-- You can return materials to our book drop slots.  These materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before we check them in off your account and before they will circulate again.  No fines will accumulate during the time that materials are in quarantine.

-- The courier system that carries books between libraries has not resumed normal operation, and we cannot guarantee that holds on items from other libraries will be delivered anytime soon.  We will try to fulfill holds with materials that are on our shelves as much as we can.

-- Our e-books and e-audiobooks are still available.  Using the Libby App or a computer at home to read or listen is easy, and we are happy to help you get started.

If you have questions or need assistance, we are here and happy to help.
